Qualification Status
The qualification is currently in its final stage of approval with the QCTO. We addressed a final round of queries last week and resubmitted the documentation. We expect the qualification to be approved within a month or so
Once approved, our course must also receive its own QCTO accreditation, which typically takes 10–14 weeks.
However, to avoid unnecessary delays for students, we have granted students access to the course, allowing students to begin studying while the accreditation process continues.
As part of the first intake of a brand-new national qualification, there is one practical consideration: if QCTO requires final adjustments after course access has been granted, students may need to revisit certain sections to ensure full compliance. We will guide you through this if required.
Those who form part of the first intake will also be among the earliest formally trained building inspectors under South Africa’s new national qualification framework.
