KM 04 – Application of the National Building Regulations

The purpose of this module is to equip learners with the practical knowledge and skills to apply the National Building Regulations (NBR) effectively in various construction and building contexts. Learners will focus on the implementation of SANS 10400, exploring its guidelines for compliance with the NBR. The module also introduces rational design principles, enabling learners to evaluate alternative building solutions while adhering to regulatory standards. Additionally, learners will gain insights into the role and processes of Agrèment South Africa in certifying innovative building systems and materials. This module prepares learners to apply the NBR with confidence and competence, ensuring safe, sustainable, and compliant building practices.
